KISCH IP hosted its first ever Take a Girl Child to Work event on 20 June 2019 with a total of 10 girls spending the day at our firm. The day began with a welcome from the firm’s female attorneys after which different female speakers offered encouragement, inspiration and guidance to the girls on reaching their full potential. With the speakers including a doctor, life coach, and career counsellor, the day was highly beneficial to everyone who attended.

Take a Girl Child to Work Day is an annual corporate social investment event, held in South Africa since 2003. Companies involved organise for female learners (school pupils), usually from disadvantaged backgrounds, to spend the day at their place of work on the last Thursday of May. The initiative is organised by Cell C, a cellular service provider, and endorsed by the South African Department of Education.
