Trade mark applications in Saint Helena must be based on corresponding UK applications or registrations and there is no provision or procedure for examination of new trade mark applications in Saint Helena. When an application is lodged, the details of the corresponding UK trade mark are entered in the Saint Helena register and the
registration is effective from the date of registration in the UK and endures for the life of the corresponding UK registration.
A registration in Saint Helena must be renewed within 6 months of the renewal of the corresponding UK registration.
