Nola Bond has more than 25 years’ experience in intellectual property, and covers trade mark, copyright, licensing and domain name disputes, including: trademark availability searches, filing, prosecution, rights transfer, recordal and opposition; trade mark litigation, including infringement, cancellation, passing off and unfair competition; trademark portfolio management, brand protection and strategy; copyright law; domain name law; advertising disputes; and Advertising Standards Authority matters.
Nola obtained a BA in 1986 and an LLB in 1989; she has been an attorney of the High Court of South Africa since 1992 and a qualified trademark practitioner since 1995. She is also an appointed domain name dispute adjudicator for the ‘co.za’domain.
Nola is a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law and a member of the International Trademark Association, the Law Society of the Northern Provinces and the Pharmaceutical Trademarks Group.
Nola is also a regular INTA attendee and has recently turned her focus to brand protection and brand management in all its aspects.
