Jacques is a registered South African Patent Attorney and holds the position of Senior Associate in the Patent Department of KISCH IP. Jacques holds a degree in Mechanical engineering from the University of North West and an LLB degree cum laude from the University of South Africa.
Jacques’s main areas of expertise include the preparation, filing, and prosecution of local and international patents in the field of mechanical, civil, and electrical engineering as well as medical technology and mining-related inventions. Jacques also prepares and files registered design applications and provides legal opinions relating to the patentability of inventions, infringement and validity of patents and registered designs, and freedom to operate.
